Following his management internship with CCF in 1982, Pierre joined the bank’s corporate banking activities. He progressively grew the size of his customer base along with the level of his responsibilities, thereby building his expertise in large international corporations.
In 1988, he joined NatWest to gain a different perspective, specializing in large cross-border British groups and transactions.
In 1997, Pierre rejoined CCF, where he took over responsibility for the African sector within the Trade Finance Department. He was tasked with helping the bank build its structured trade finance expertise and become one of the top players in this field.
After HSBC’s takeover in 2004, Pierre held various positions. He first worked in the Middle East (Egypt then Lebanon), where the bank secured its top position in local corporate banking activities. He then moved to Luxembourg, where he reorganized and aligned the follow-up of international activities.
In 2010, Pierre took over responsibilities for corporate banking activities in the Western region of France, with the mission to position the entity as a major player in international business.
In 2019, Pierre joined Lambert Commodities as a Senior Adviser.
Pierre holds a Bachelor of Arts in Management and Finance from Université Paris IX Dauphine and is a former Counsel of France for Foreign Trade.
Frederic Vilsboe
After initial experience financing small and medium corporate clients in Reunion Island, Frederic joined HSBC Group in France in 1988 as a relationship manager for French multinationals. Over the years, he served as a Corporate Dealer in financial markets, covering Forex and Interest Rate instruments, which led him to oversee the deployment of the HSBC London Derivative desk in Paris.
In another significant role in corporate coverage, Frederic expanded his expertise to Trade Finance, eventually taking responsibility for the 100-staff Trade Finance department in 2005. During this period, he reorganized and merged various trade finance teams within the Group.
In 2008, Frederic moved to the UK to further develop sophisticated trade finance with Global Banking clients. In this capacity, he led efforts to build a commodity franchise in EMEA with teams in the UK, France, Germany, and UAE. Frederic also headed the Global Trade and Receivable Finance (GTRF) large initiatives, including the re-positioning of the bank’s operations in Europe post-Brexit. Additionally, he expanded his expertise to financial and non-financial risks as Head of Risks for GTRF in Europe.
In 2023, Frederic joined Lambert Commodities as a Senior Advisor.
Frederic holds a bachelor’s degree in law from Paris 2 University and is a graduate of the Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po).
